Clinique Summer in the City is a beautiful coral pink polish that is extremely glossy.
Given that in the southern hemisphere we are in the throws of Summer (well given it’s the 3rd day of December, it is officially Summer here), I found this colour to be perfect for the season and coming into the holidays where you want something fun and bright. I am aware that these colours launched in the northern hemisphere earlier in the year, but you can never have too many reviews, huh?
Let’s look at the bottles *cue artsy fartsy shot*.
The bottles are quite plain and are bereft of any markings. They do have the Clinique “C” on the top and the label on the bottom shows the colour name and number.
The boxes are the traditional Clinique packaging. I don’t know why but I quite like the little boxes for these polishes. Super cute.
As for the formula, it is super glossy and easy to apply. I have applied two coats to the swatches below, no top coat, and the shine is all due to the formula.
Gorgeous, huh? The colour is a true coral in my books. Sometimes it looks a little bit red, sometimes a little orange, sometimes a hot pink. If they had this in a lip colour, I’d be all over it (granted I think Clinique Ginger Flower might be it, but whenever I go to swatch it or buy it to find out, it’s never there). I have found the wear on these polishes to be quite good, not excellent. I have consistently gotten 5 days without chips (but my fingers need some loving so with some cuticle care and some hand moisturisation, I may be able to go further).
Disclaimer: I purchased this from the Clinique counter at Myer Doncaster.
